GM has settled on a class action lawsuit for the problems they have had with their gaskets failing because of Dexcool antifreeze. The lawsuit states that Dexcool antifreeze was the cause of the failures. I believe that was just a failure of the plastic gaskets, and any antifreeze would have leaked with that type of gaskets. The lawsuit says that anyone that paid for gasket replacement in the first 5 years of ownership of the covered vehicles listed in the lawsuit can be reimbursed for up $800.00 dollars of the repair. A 6 year old vehicle is eligible for $100.00 and a 7 year old vehicle is eligible for $50.00.It doesn't matter who performed the repairs. More information can be found at   http://www.girardgibbs.com/dexcool.html alongwith the forms that need to be filled out.

If any of our customers need copiesof the repairs to their vehicles to send in a claim, they can call us or shoot us an E-mail through the "Ask Gerry" page or Contact page. We will be happy to print the copies off for you to pick up, mail them to you or fax them if you send us a number to send them to. As always, if you have any questions; whether we performed the repairs or not, feel free to contact us by any of the mentioned methods. Thank you!
